CUBE has issued a serious recall that affects all Agree C:62 models from the 2025 and 2026 seasons sold before November 30, 2025.
The company warns that cracks and delamination may occur in the carbon fork, specifically in the highly stressed area above the brake mount — and in the worst case, the fork may fail under load.
This is not a minor service update.
It’s a stop-ride order.
What CUBE Has Confirmed
According to the official recall notice:
- All frame sizes (47–62 cm) of the Agree C:62 series are affected.
- Damage has been found in the fork’s brake-mount zone — a high-stress structural area.
- Riders must stop using the bike immediately until the fork is inspected and replaced.
- CUBE is preparing replacement forks and coordinating with dealers worldwide.
- Affected customers should contact their retailer or CUBE service directly.
This recall affects not only EU riders, but also international markets, as the Agree C:62 series is one of CUBE’s global road-bike bestsellers.
Why This Is Serious
The Agree C:62 models are fast, light, high-performance road bikes — built for speed, long distances, and high structural loads.
A failure in the fork area isn’t just a defect — it’s a potential catastrophic failure point.
Hard braking, rough road surfaces, or sudden impacts can put extreme stress on the fork.
If the carbon structure is compromised, the consequences can be severe:
loss of control, crashes, injuries, or total bike failure.
That’s why CUBE’s message is unambiguous:
Do not ride the bike until it is inspected.
Even if the bike looks visually fine, carbon damage is often invisible.
What This Means for the Industry
This recall highlights a broader issue in today’s performance bike market:
The push for lighter, stiffer, faster carbon components is reaching a point where quality control becomes more critical than ever.
Two lessons stand out:
- Even major manufacturers are vulnerable.
CUBE is one of Europe’s largest and most reputable brands — if problems appear there, they can appear anywhere. - Transparency matters.
The speed and clarity of CUBE’s recall announcement show how important honest communication is for trust — especially in a market still recovering from years of supply-chain turbulence.
Customers care less about perfection and more about responsibility.
