Mein Einstieg mit der Insta360 Ace Pro
My Start with the Insta360 Ace Pro
When I first started filming my bike rides, I picked up the Insta360 Ace Pro. Equipped with some accessories, I was quickly blown away: Without much effort, I was able to shoot videos in impressive quality.
The real power, however, comes from the Insta360 app and the desktop software. With just a few clicks you can select formats, adjust resolution, or use the smart AI-powered editing tools. Features like stabilization, reframing, or stick removal happen almost automatically – saving me hours of work and letting me focus on riding instead of editing.
Leveling Up: The Insta360 X5 for #MTBlife in Norway
Before my big Norway trip, I wanted a backup camera – and decided to upgrade to the Insta360 X5. My goal: maximum flexibility and peace of mind that my #MTBlife episodes would continue even if one camera failed.
Of course, on my very first ride disaster struck: I mounted the X5 under my saddle, and a rock smashed right into the lens guard. Honestly, I should’ve seen it coming – I’m always chasing crazy camera angles, no matter the risk. Luckily, the X5 has replaceable lenses and parts, so the damage was quickly fixed.
From then on, it was pure magic. The X5 completely changed the way I shoot. In post-production, almost anything is possible: drone-like shots, 360° perspectives, breathtaking 8K detail. This camera has truly leveled up my videos.

Ace Pro vs. X5 – Which Is Better for Biking?
Honestly, both cameras have their strengths:
- For the classic POV shots on the handlebars or helmet, the Ace Pro gives me sharper and more direct footage.
- But when it comes to creative perspectives, the X5 is unbeatable. Whether mounted on a stick, strapped to my body, or even underwater – the footage looks incredible.
On rough trails the X5 can get shaken around, but with the right mounting position it shines. On the body or on a stick, it’s a beast.
Excellent Customer Service
Another thing that impressed me: the Insta360 service. My damaged X5 was repaired for just 38 euros. Even my Ace Pro, which looked pretty rough after six months of heavy use, came back like new. That kind of support is rare these days, where many brands just push you toward buying the next model.
Final Thoughts: Why I Trust Insta360
Today, I use both cameras side by side – the Ace Pro for direct, classic action shots and the X5 for epic 360° perspectives. Together, they’re the perfect combo for my bike adventures.
